REPs were an organisation that held an independent public register that recognised the qualifications and expertise of health-enhancing exercise instructors in the UK, however in 2020, the original REPs register was disbanded and its membership register was migrated into CIMSPA’s Membership Directory.
In February 2023 the REPs trademark and logo was acquired by unknown persons and operates a website carrying the REPs logo, however this is different organisation from the one that existed pre 2020. Almost all fitness facilites and gyms in the UK now refer to the CIMSPA standards, as the guiding light of quality and certification standards. The Fitness Group is aproud to be a CIMSPA enhancing partner, the highest level of CIMSPA accreditation.
It is important that when you undertake a qualification you choose an accredited qualification that is underpinned by an Awarding Organisation that is recognised by Ofqual.
Active IQ for example are our Awarding Organisation and are regulated by Ofqual. We are Active IQ’s largest Training Provider and we only offer Ofqual recognised qualifications.
